Cursed Speech Permissions Post

Toge Inumaki possesses the Inumaki clan’s “Snake and Fangs” seal on his mouth and tongue, which enables him to utilize his signature cursed ability: Cursed Speech. Cursed Speech is a powerful inherited technique that uses the power of words to combat curses. By infusing his words with his cursed energy, Toge is able to issue commands to his target and force them to comply with his order. If he tells someone “Don’t move”, they will be immobilized and unable to move. If he tells them “Sleep”, they will fall asleep. If he tells them “Explode”, they will violently explode. The strength of the compulsion is based on the strength of both the user and the target that is focusing on, and can affect multiple targets at once. Though overuse of his ability causes significant backlash on his body, it is still a very powerful ability.

Due to the nature of his technique, I have set up a permissions page for those who would like to let me know ahead of time whether they would like to be on the receiving end of Toge's Cursed Speech, and if so what types of compulsions they would like their characters to be exposed to should the situation arise. I have set it up in tiers for ease of access for folks:

• Tier 0: You do not want me to have Toge to use Cursed Speech on your character at all. I will not have Toge use Cursed Speech on your character, and will try to avoid situations where such a thing will be possible.
  
• Tier 1: You are okay with some compulsion, usually of a minor, non-intrusive manner. Such commands would be things like "Don't Move", "Be Quiet", "Stop", and other non-intrusive commands. Your character will still maintain autonomy of themselves for the most part. The commands last for no more than a minute, or until Toge says something else and ends the compulsion.
  
• Tier 2: You are okay with all the compulsions of Tier 1, as well as a few that cause your character to act in a way that Toge tells you. This includes things such as "Run away" and "Sleep", which would force your character to follow those commands. The commands at this tier will not be combat-oriented, so though they are more demanding than Tier 1, I will avoid any commands that would cause harm to your character. The commands last for no more than a minute, or until Toge says something else and ends the compulsion. This would be the equivalent of "fighting is ok, but no serious injury" on a traditional permissions page.
  
• Tier 3: You are okay with all the compulsions of Tier 1 and Tier 2, as well as compulsions that would be dealt during combat scenarios. Such commands include things such as "Blast away", "Get crushed", or "Crumble away", which would be able to cause harm to the person Toge is commanding. Due to the nerf restrictions on Toge's ability, none of these commands will kill or cause significant damage to a character (and if they could, it would not be without player discussion first). The commands at this tier are pretty instantaneous, and end once the act is completed. This would be the equivalent of "fighting is ok, serious injury is ok, but no killing" on a traditional permissions page.
